Foundation Update: February 2025

Happy New Year everyone…

I hope this year turns out to be an outstanding one! I know that there are lots of fresh or freshened up builds in the garages right about now, so cruising should be new and interesting this year.

We are still working on our car show and cruise dates at this moment, but we should have some information for you in the very near future. One thing that is etched in stone however, is our Real Man’s Yard Sale! This year it’s being held on August 9th up at the Markets at Shrewsberry in Pennsylvania once again. As always, the sale is targeted to auto parts, lawn equipment, motorcycles, tools, etc. No clothing, furniture or toys are permitted (bicycles are fine). In the very near future, I will create an event on Facebook. While doing so, I will make it so that anyone can invite anyone else. When you see this, I encourage you to invite all of your car bud- dies and gals. Also, I encourage you all to use that event to post the items that you intend to bring to the sale in the comments section. For instance, one individual that I’ve spoken with is completing a build of his 33 Ford coupe and he has a bunch of spare or unused parts that he wishes to sell. By posting these items on the event page, it gives everyone following the event the opportunity to see your items, thus creating some buzz for your them and increasing the likelihood that your items will sell. Last year, one of our sellers took advantage of the Facebook tool and left having had a very, very successful day! Please remember that this is a rain or shine event, so be pre- pared with canopies, rain gear, etc. Also start planning your space now, so that you can fit into the allotted area you are reserving.

I hope that the remaining winter months will allow you time to finish updating, maintaining or completing your ride, and I look forward to seeing you and your hot rod in the upcoming cruising season!

See you on the return road.
! Doug.
