Heat, rain… That’s all I’ve got to say about that!
Recent occurrences in my life, and I’m sure your lives, make us aware of how much we need to roll with the punches. We make plans, and something occurs that makes it difficult to bring those plans to fruition. And in almost every case that I can think of, we can rely on our family and friends to get the job done. It’s most important that we’re not afraid to ask others to step up when need be. This is something that you don’t want to do habitually, but when there’s a need that arises, in almost every case, the folks that are closest to the situation and you will come through to get you to the finish line. Enough preaching for now…lol!!!
The most recent recipient of our Educational Assistance Fund, Michael Taylor, attended the spring mini session at McPherson College a short time ago. We posted some pictures on our Facebook feed. Hopefully, you were able to enjoy some of them. He has written us an essay discussing his time out there and we will publish it in our Facebook page also. Many thanks to all of you who continue to donate to make this possible.
Not too long after this magazine hits the streets, our Real Man’s Yard Sale will be upon us. The actual sale takes place on Saturday, August 9 up at the Markets at Shrewsbury from 8 to 2. There is an outside chance that you still have time to register, so please do so as quickly as possible at our website, savethehobby.org. You can also register the morning of the event, but we encourage folks to pre-register.
Our fall fundraising car show will follow in September, on the 20th. That event is being held at Big Truck Farm and Brewery up in Parkton, Maryland. You will find more information about that in this magazine. Also, you can go to our website savethehobby.org for more information.
I, along with all of the CCCEF family, am looking forward to seeing you at each of our upcoming events!
Classic & Custom Car Educational Seminar is on August 16 at the Abingdon, Maryland Library, registration required. https://programs.hcplonline.org/event/13427677
Until next time… I’ll see you on the return road!
